05kat-fridge-t-0151

6th Oct, 2005. Hurricane Katrina aftermath, New Orleans, Louisiana. Refrigerators,
like people on the Mardi Gras parade routes line the sidewalks and streets of the
Uptown neighborhoods as residents return and throw away the fetid, stinking
appliances. Many are taped shut to prevent them from opening. Someone has written,
'Voodoo here today now 5,' on many of the appliances. A fridge stands outside a home
for sale on St Charles Avenue.
