17th Jan, 2005. New Orleans, Louisiana. School re-opening. A teacher helps a child find her new claqssroom as she starts Lusher Charter School in uptown New Orleans on their first day back since Hurricane Katrina. Kathy lost her home and all her posessions to the storm and is currently living with friends. The school suffered $2 million in damages and has been repaired and returned to service with the help of contractors and parents who have worked tirelessly to re-open the facility to students.
