16th Feb, 2006. Devastated Plaquemines Parish, just south of New Orleans, Louisiana. A contractor checks trucks on and off the levee as they deposit large mounds of earth to build up levee protection. It is hoped the levees will be built up and reinforced in time for the next hurricane season, however they are rebuilding the levees with the same mud that was criticised in reports citing reasons why levees failed during hurricane Katrina.
