March 6th, 2006. New Orleans, Louisiana. Six months after hurricane Katrina devasted the Lower 9th Ward, recovery work, slow and sometimes grim, continues at what appears to be a snail's pace. Cadaver dogs from Southeast Louisiana Urban Search and Rescue teams search through the piles of rubble looking for human remains in the last sweep before demolition of property begins.
