The unusual rock formations of Medicine Rocks near Baker, Montana. The sandstone formations have been eroded over thousands of years giving them their famous Swiss cheese look. Native American Indian tribes believed strongly in the healing powers of the rocks and the water that comes up from the ground. Native Americans used to conjour-up magical spirits at the site. One can imagine faces in the rocks if one looks closely enough. President Teddy Roosevelt wrote 'As beautiful place as I have ever seen,' in the late 1800's. Sept 2002.
